Takedown Policy

How to request removal of a firmware file from this archive.

Our intent

This archive exists to help the digital-mixer community access firmware that might otherwise become unavailable. We respect intellectual-property rights and the wishes of manufacturers. If you are a rights holder and would like a file removed, we will act promptly.

Who can submit a takedown request?

Any of the following may submit a request:

  • The manufacturer (or their authorised agent) of the mixer model in question.
  • A copyright holder for the firmware file itself.
  • A legal representative acting on behalf of either of the above.

How to submit a request

Email firmware@mixerfirmware.com with the subject line "Takedown Request — [Manufacturer] [Model]" and include:

  • Your name and role (employee, legal counsel, etc.).
  • The URL(s) of the file(s) you wish removed.
  • The legal basis for the request (copyright, licence restriction, etc.).
  • A statement that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

What happens next

We aim to respond within 2 business days. If the request is valid we will:

  • Remove the firmware binary from our servers immediately.
  • Update the model page to note that the file was removed at the rights holder's request.
  • Remove the file from the JSON API so that Mixing Station Anywhere no longer references it.

We retain metadata (version number, original source URL, SHA-256 hash) for audit purposes only — no binary file is kept after a valid takedown.

Counter-notice

If you believe a takedown was made in error, you may submit a counter-notice to the same email address with your reasons. We will review it and respond within 5 business days.
