About the TASCAM Sonicview
Sonicview 16 and Sonicview 24, launched in 2022, are TASCAM's return to large-format mixing: 96 kHz throughout, a dual-touchscreen surface, TASCAM's own FPGA processing, and 32-track direct recording to SD card. Expansion slots take Dante or additional analogue I/O.
How TASCAM ships firmware
Sonicview firmware is applied from an SD card and TASCAM publishes release notes per version. Archiving each release means a console that has sat in a rack for two years can be brought forward in steps rather than in one jump.
Verifying what you download
Every TASCAM Sonicview 24 file in this archive lists the SHA-256 checksum recorded the moment we
mirrored it, plus a link to the original TASCAM source URL. Before loading firmware
onto a console, run shasum -a 256 <file> (macOS/Linux) or
certutil -hashfile <file> SHA256 (Windows) and compare it to the value in
the table above. If they differ, do not load the file.
